More things I do when I’m not driving : Bookkeeping & Jack of all trades

Bookkeeping:
I'm most adept with Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks for Mac, Windows too after a little bit of re-acclimation. I'm handy with Excel.
Typically, I do books for disorganized people and small businesses.
I've done books for a dude-ranch/R.V. park up near Berryessa, an esthetician, a golf course, a go-cart company at Sear's Point and an interior decorator. I was also in the bar business for fourteen years and used QB and Excel spreadsheets to track sales, expenses, tracking CGS on a weekly and monthly basis. I also temped for three months at Duckhorn working with their A/R and collections. I worked a tax season with HR Block filing personal 1040’s and a handful of schedule C’s.

I’m a jack of all trades: interior painter, carpenter, mechanic, plumber and electrician.
I was taught to house paint by professionals in high school, framed houses for two summers during college, worked in a hardware store for four years, worked as a drapery installer for four years, as well as run a fine home maintenance business for three. I ran an industrial bakery pan remanufacturing plant for three years as well.

Clients will attest to my attention to detail and job site cleanliness.

I’m more of a repair type of guy. I can fix your deck, fence or hole in your drywall, but I shouldn’t build you a new deck, fence nor sheetrock that whole wall. I can change out your faucets and fittings, fix your toilet, snake a drain, but I shouldn’t replace your sewer line. I can replace your light fixtures and switches, replace your bad electrical breakers, but I shouldn't run new romex or conduit lines. I can paint a room or two, but I shouldn’t paint your whole house. I can weld good-enough to repair handrails and furniture (I have MIG and TIG welders), but I shouldn’t TIG a stainless flange with five hundred gallons of wine on the other side. I’m fine with installing deadbolts and changing out door knobs, but I’m just “good-enough” to hang a new door install a new window and trim it out. If I feel a task is outside of my skill-set, I’ll let you know.

I used to own a nightclub with a cool logo.

You need a coffee mug and a t-shirt.

Like it's 1999.

The Mission District was still mildly dangerous.

And a nightclub happened with the best of intentions.

It was the best of times and the worst of times,

with fond memories of the joyful chaos.
